card slots cost 25 gem, gems are now 350 gold for 95 and stupidly dropping, gold is more valuable now.
This is probably the dumbest tip ever read on this forum
I had read around the time of launch that you could delete cards and keep the bonuses. I will not delete cards even though they count towards the bonuses when deleted. Maybe if I max out each card then I might think of deleting them but till then I'll be holding on to each and every card.
It's a me thing that's all. I prefer to keep everything I earned so those cards, no matter how useless, are probably staying for the time being. Plus, who knows if in the future they might be part of some set. I'd rather just keep them tbh.
To each their own.
EDIT: Counted my cards and I only have 170. That doesn't appear to even be half of them so I've got a long ways to go.
This is a tip for people who want to save gold to use for other things. Yes, the crystals are not worth that much, but they were peaked at about 800g/95 crystals. It would still be a decent investment, because 25 crystal unlocks just another 1 row for 10 cards. And you would need to unlock multiple rows to be able to hold all the cards.
As for the awakanings, it's infinitely more worth it to awaken the best equippable cards for your build, even though they are rarer. If you get a lot of common unequippable cards in a set and awaken them, yes, you get a bonus which is not that hard to get, but the bonus is negligible. 0.07 bonus to specific enemies negligible.
I've read multiple threads with people complaining that their cards are full with no explanation that you can delete the unequippable ones, which are not as valuable. That is why I've written this :)
That's also a good idea, though to save inventory space it could be better to not open the packs at all until you decide to get what you want. Though I'm not sure if you delete awakened cards within a set, that the cards tab keeps track that it was awakened. If you get some info on this (or someone else reading this), then please share it :)
doesnt count against the limit, use them all and put them in the card catalog
once you run out of space, buy more on card enhance tab, if you cant afford gold to blue crystal conversion for it, put it in inventory/pet inventory/alt storage until you can
The crystal price goes up as you unlock more rows btw just like roaster storage. It cost me 50 crystal per row now (at 300).
I actually tried to make sense of the UI to exchange the cash currencies... and failed. Still, 350 is a lot if you want to get it from the game instead of buying it -- and the game keeps putting up the "freeloaders not welcome" signs all over the place. In particular, "honing" needs gold... and I'm sure that will keep increasing as well.
That's what I'm doing too -- in addition to checking whether card rewards from the tome are already in the book or not, and either getting it or letting it sit there. Unfortunately, sometimes you just get single cards, so I have some of those taking up storage slots already.
I actually have a whole pile of unopened chests in the storage; basically anything that has "select" in the description goes into storage until I know what I need. Which rarely happens.
On the positive side, I should probably just clean out the trash from the storage. It's full of quest-reward consumables that I didn't know what to do with, like all those "grenades", items that give you 20 seconds of some buff etc.
Yea, the UI with the various prices is horrible, but all that you really need to know is the recommended cost of gold for the gems, so just the lower right panel.
Once you dig into the gold/crystal values, you'll find out that sometimes it's way better to sell your mats, convert the gold to crystals and purchase those same mats from Mari for way cheaper. There's a nice tool that I found which calculates the values: https://www.easymari.com/en/price_tool
While i understand why you don't use the packs, you're missing on the bonuses from the collections. They are increases of 1-2 stats, but they do add up. That is why I've created this thread explaining why deleting cards isn't really punishing if you don't delete the equippable ones.

Keep these, they are more important than you think. if you use your stronghold, you'll get your roster storage expansions where you'll have a bunch of space for them. Some of the grenades are really useful late-game, but it's best to keep the chests and use one or two whenever you need the nades :)
Sorry for being too talkative :D
You can have duplicates of the same card, it's the small blue cards icon with a +X on the card. A card gets converted into XP only if you've reached the max amount of duplicates (I believe 4 duplicates). Such a card will not count as a duplicate, you will only get the XP
The investment you're talking about is a very long-term bonus of ~0.07% dmg increases against certain enemies only if you decide to awaken the cards to the required amounts (often 30 for max bonus). It's way better to use the XP for awakening on cards you can actually equip, which give you way bigger bonuses.
By deleting the low-rarity non-equippable cards, you make spaces for potential equippable cards, or cards you've never collected. This is far more valuable than keeping the card with the thought of awakening it and others in the set in the upcoming X years, even though there are way better cards which you could awaken.
