STUCK ON UNPACKING

my game has been stuck on unpacking FOREVER. I made sure I had enough space, changed server, restarted both steam and my PC, cleared cache folder and nothing has helped. anyone got a fix or know anything I can do to help speed up the process?

Problem is also a 10 YEAR OLD problem for Steam, that they refuse to acknowledge, simply because they are a monopoly at this point and can do whatever they want. For some games, their packaging method is simply broken. Also it seems that they can't handle cross-drive installation of core steam files, and steam libraries. Sorry steam, I don't puke $$$$$ - 4 TB NVMe drive just so I can accomodate your failed coding, no thanks.

Has been an issue with me for years at this point. I'm sitting at four hours of unpacking 43g out of 70g. While it's only using 25% ish of the read/write on the disk. Gives me the good ol dial up feelings again, what a time to be alive!

But in short you can do nothing about it, steam doesn't give two sheets about the issue. It's like blizzard is a lot of ways, they wont start caring till it starts hurting the pocket book.

If you preloaded, you can uninstall and redownload the game to skip the unpacking process.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling... same problem. Stuck unpacking at 69.89 GB.

I have the same problem here ... was blocked on the unpacking, then i uninstalled and do many tricks like clear cache etc ...
but nothing change, now i can't even download the game ... and when i try to launch the download, the steam client stop working ...
Can we have answers from a steam moderator plz ... or something ...

i don't understand why it would have a problem ... i stil have many space on it more that 70% and i can play all other game install on it ...

i didn't say i have 70gigs, i said 70% of the space on the disk ... something like 700gigs ...

what makes no sense is no other game has ever caused this only Lost Ark. Makes zero sense why it's so slow... I can't figure it out either.

The unbelievable amount of stupidity in this thread is astonishing.
IT IS NOT a question of free space.
IT IS NOT a question of faster ssd or hdd

It is a problem with unpacking stuck at 70.6 / 70.8 EVEN IF DOWNLOADED again from scratch.
