[UKRAINE] Not in EU list release and access to Russian Lost Ark version is banned by the government

Ukrainiam government banned LA russian publisher Mail.Ru and we are not in the list for EU release

Dear all, devs, publishers, ladies and gentelmen,

I have a question which is wider but I have not found any Amazon email as a publisher to ask them directly so I`d like to ask this question here because situation might be unknow...

I am from Ukraine and I do really want to play LA. The thing Lost Ark was released in Russian in russian language for this region by Mail.ru publisher - https://la.mail.ru/

Unfortunately, several years ago due to government regulation in Ukraine Mail.ru was banned in Ukraine completely so we can not use this service at all ( as well as vk.com etc...)

I was glad to see that Lost Ark is being released in Europe, however Ukraine is not in the list release countries:

So, we can not play on Mail.Ru Lost Ark version due to its banned in Ukraine and we are not part of the EU list.

I do not see EU version on Steam and not able to purchase it.

The only solution I see here is that Ukraine should be added to the list of European countries and be accessable via steam

I do not want to use VPN or any other side related software to play the game.

The intention of this topic is to highlight to Amazon as a publisher that russian version of the game is not available for the whole Ukraine due to govrenment restrictions and we would appreciate adding our country to EU release.

Why are you against using VPN? In most regional cases this is the only solution to play the game. Ofc you can get banned for it, but with most games you only need to use it on server logon. After that you can disable it in most cases, so the risk of being banned that way is pretty low.

Well usually ping will be higher is (1) and this is 1st time in my entire life (30 years old lol) that game is being released in EU and not available in Ukraine. I am pretty sure it is due to the fact that they know that Ukraine kinda have to play russian version of LostArk, but they might not be aware that huge .RU internet sector is banned in Ukraine (vk.com, mail.ru etc...) we I`d like to find proper solution here....

The publishing rights to Ukraine are presumed to be held by Mail.ru.
Can Amazon take away the rights of Mail.ru?

then blame your government. Amazon won't add Ukraine because of that to EU release for two reasons: publishing rights are basically set in stone and they wouldn't be bothering to add Russian or Ukrainian languages for that and that's basically a must for countries using Cyrillic.

Your only option is to continue playing via VPN, like literally rest of the world which was playing on RU and KR servers so far.

Im file with English language game / store / etc. Unfrotunately you are most probably right, however if Mail.Ru is banned forever there should be a solution.

There are 39 million people live in Ukraine so its quite big market to miss..

And its second poorest country in entire europe so from marketing perspective it has zero value for companies.

There is no built ingame VPN you would have to buy one. But I strongly recommend you reading firstly reviews of vpn "brands" coz the last time I used one the quality was rly bad I mean often got random disconect, huge ping etc even tho I was using fiber optic internet and im living atm in central europe.

thats the point :D ? like every other restrictered country they want to play game freely without boundaries. its so selfish when u can play without problem and telling people "you can pay to play anyway no big deal."

He was giving them options.

It appears that he’s unable to play on the RU servers, like most of the world, so he needs to use a VPN if he wants to play.

There are free VPN services but Exitlag is fairly cheap, like less than $7.00 a month cheap. And it works just fine and is easily set up.

I’m sorry your country isn’t on the list. But there’s not a lot that can be done. If they don’t have publishing rights, they don’t have publishing rights. I know AGS is working diligently to try and get these countries under their umbrella in order to publish, but it’s looking like if you want to play- use a VPN.

What's exactly selfish in the fact they might dont have publish rights there? Or that his country ban russia? If you didn't notice most vpn comments are to help him out in situation so he can play in some way.
