[UKRAINE] Not in EU list release and access to Russian Lost Ark version is banned by the government

Ukrainiam government banned LA russian publisher Mail.Ru and we are not in the list for EU release

Dear all, devs, publishers, ladies and gentelmen,

I have a question which is wider but I have not found any Amazon email as a publisher to ask them directly so I`d like to ask this question here because situation might be unknow...

I am from Ukraine and I do really want to play LA. The thing Lost Ark was released in Russian in russian language for this region by Mail.ru publisher - https://la.mail.ru/

Unfortunately, several years ago due to government regulation in Ukraine Mail.ru was banned in Ukraine completely so we can not use this service at all ( as well as vk.com etc...)

I was glad to see that Lost Ark is being released in Europe, however Ukraine is not in the list release countries:

So, we can not play on Mail.Ru Lost Ark version due to its banned in Ukraine and we are not part of the EU list.

I do not see EU version on Steam and not able to purchase it.

The only solution I see here is that Ukraine should be added to the list of European countries and be accessable via steam

I do not want to use VPN or any other side related software to play the game.

The intention of this topic is to highlight to Amazon as a publisher that russian version of the game is not available for the whole Ukraine due to govrenment restrictions and we would appreciate adding our country to EU release.

Let me suggest... allowing account transfers? Looking at their accounts and cloning them to servers they can play on? Doing anything more than, as the literal publishers of the product saying you cant do anything, would probably be a start lol

With every word you are showing your lack of understanding of the issue. Amazon is not a site in this conflict. They have exactly zero access or say about LA Russia. They are absolutely 3rd party. If anything take your cries to Korean forum of LA.

You can't use VPN because you will need to load the game 1st on steam, and in your country the game wont appear AT ALL.

lol, we're telling to vpn RU version (not this one - EU/NA steam version), like literally everyone else outside of RU, KR, JP playing Lost Ark so far.

Thank you very much for your reply, now I see the full picture and really appreciate that.

One thing is if you can send a message to someone responsible for publishing who can contact Lost Ark devs (in Korea) or Mail Ru as publisher and explain them situation (I am pretty sure they are aware) so in future we would be able to play game on EU normally without any VPNs and additional software.

This situation is not fair to the players and also both publisher lose potential clients / money.

with Exitlag your latency is 10-20ms from Ukraine if you play on RU, it's literally a non-issue + they never banned anyone for using a vpn.

I'm sure some of you will say "well I played X game using a VPN and didn't get banned or steam doesn't care", even if that is true, it's a risk. Imagine playing LA for thousands of hours only to suddenly get banned for VPN usage? and you don't just get banned from the game, your steam account gets locked.

"Just make another account then to use VPN?" <- This doesn't stop you from getting banned at any moment and wasting time and money.

The reality is if LA was on any other platform other than steam, then the people who got region blocked won't care because they can just use a VPN (like on all other version of LA), but because it is on Steam and Steam is super Anal about this stuff it's incredibly stressful playing LA knowing at any moment you can get banned, because even if Steam doesn't care you're still violating ToS and Steam can ban you for it when ever they feel like it.

This is why you see people asking about the region block and asking if X region can be included, because we want to play the game without having to worry about losing progress at any moment.

then blame your government. Amazon won't add Ukraine because of that to EU release for two reasons: publishing rights are basically set in stone and they wouldn't be bothering to add Russian or Ukrainian languages for that and that's basically a must for countries using Cyrillic.

Your only option is to continue playing via VPN, like literally rest of the world which was playing on RU and KR servers so far.

Blame his government cause they were invaded by Russia. They logically would block all IPs from Russian hackers that would try to attack the government.

To the OP there is already a Russian translation it probably wouldn't take much work for someone in your own country to do a patch it won't work on the VO but at least it would be something.

It's primarily for the purchasing of games that they ban for. As long as you are not doing anything illegal or purchasing games at a lower price than is in your region it shouldn't be an issue.

As long as he always logs on with VPN and always uses it just for Lost Ark and purchases in a price within his region (EU) it should be find.
