Report a translation problem
: FIGHTER, QUARRELER
also : a fierce competitor
I don't mind either name, but "Scrapper" isn't confusing =P
But on the other hand, I want to say that I liked some of the new names more than the old ones. For example Paladin, Gunlancer, Deadeye.
And the new ones are wierd.
That is other of the topic that worry me.
As an example, Hawkeye have been translated to sharpshooter, but in Spanish (I'm Spanish native speaker) is "Francotirador", that translated back to English means Sniper. For me a sniper is a person who use long distance rifle, not an archer class
Blaster have been translated to "Artillerist" but in Spanish instead of "Artillero" they translate to "Artificiero" that is the person who is specialist in explosive like defuse explosive or mines that is not exactly the same that the class intent to do.
And going back to Scrapper, in Spanish was translated to "Matona" that is more like a "Thug" or a "Bully" is that the meaning you want to give to the class?
Other problem is for example Dominic translated as Shadowhunter, but the reaper is more a shadowhunter character than the demonic, what name are you going to give to the Reaper that is more accurate when is out?
From my point of view, for the translation they are taking a dumb file into amazon translator in AWS and take an output and paste it. That is a huge mistake. Or at least, things like, Class names, character names, city names, even skill name should be done in a manual way.
Language, voice, name, skin, NPC, payment process, balance, content update schedule and difficulty, etc.
There are tests and forums to hear your opinions, and answers to them.
What you said is only a lack of localization, there is nothing wrong with localization.
Amazon will be working hard to increase localization and IP block exclusions.
Your experience with servers in other regions may be different, but it won't be bad.
Believe it.
Of course, for countries other than EU/NA, this localization is far away.
some of them. really doesn't make any sense. and i know for sure the dev or w/e did this never played the game. really sound some old geezer did this... its unbelievable bad. the KOR/RU are 100% better.
Oh jesus, i think we vets have a big disadvantage now :P
That's what i really hate about these big corps. they never ask the community or people, for advise/opinion or any contribution. like Sywo or any other gamers that have been playing since KOR. i know for fact if they did that, all these crazy things wouldn't have happened.
