About character expansion slot

Can you get this with in game currency or do they add slots when they add new characters?

I do not think so you can buy them with the currency you convert from gold from, it's all up on if they have such premium items as rewards in-game

In the other regions you can only buy character expansion slots with royal crystals i.e. real money, you can't use gold to convert into blue crystals to buy them.

I see, thanks. Do they give you enough to create all the classes and subclasses at the start though? Do they also give you extra one when they release a new one?

To create all of them no, I'm not sure events wise and such there may be reward of a character creation spot. By default those are exactly the main points of monetization

Personally I'm waiting to see the royal crystal cost of character slots... if it's 300 like RU I'll buy a gold founders and play on just one server... if it's 1000 then I'll just be completely f2p and have a "main" server where I collect all the stuff and have characters I really want to play, but also play on others so I've got all the character slots I could want for trying out different classes.

Surely the prices are similar in equivalence. 300 royal crystals seems like a good price to me.

Asking around and players told me generally 1000 crystals is about the equivalent of $10 in other regions... and so in RU it'd be pretty cheap at $3 a slot, but it's more like 10 in JP and Korea...So we'll have to see which we get.

I'd want quite a few slots and I'm not willing to blow a ton on them, especially as I'd mainly be getting them for trying out classes then occasionally playing the ones that don't make the cut just when I want some variety. I don't really like deleting characters so would rather get to keep the whole roster (plus then if I ever get into PvP I'd have a selection to use as you've not gotta gear for that at all). It'd be a bit annoying to play across lots of servers but if I just worry about being all completionist on one and have my preferred characters there it'll not be too bad and I'm sure there'll be at least a few servers in each region so there'll be plenty of slots.

I'm not so sure about this but in some of Sywo's The ark videos on yt, Saintone said that you can send something to other servers via auction house with selling i guess ?

and also, iirc they were speaking about this char slot thing and they've said that AGS is trying to make it buyable with in-game currency. I'm not so sure again tho. Better you watch those The Ark videos, i guess. They were 1.5 hrs long videos and there are 2 of them.

Yeah I already know about that, basically if you've got 5000g on a character on a different server (but still in your region) then you can list a junk item for that price from a character on your main server, then buy it from the alt server character, thereby transferring the money (as the AH is cross server).

So while you'd lose some money with the AH fees, there is stuff that's shared across characters on a server, but not across servers, like lifeskill energy or Epona weekly stuff, that you'd get more of as it's kinda like having a second account but entirely legitimate (a second account might be too, not sure, this is easier though).

Seems like a lot of bother to me to do it for income generation means... but it might be a bonus if I have to do it anyway for the character slots... but I'm really just hoping they'll have a reasonable royal crystal cost (so no more than 500) or be purchasable with blue crystals and then I'll just be able to play on one server and not stress it (and then have more skill points on alts and stuff).
