Second, you think this game has the best 3D "jump n run" mechanics ever, except for Mario? Wow, literally any other 3D platformer that comes to my mind has better movement than this one, like Hell Pie, A Hat In Time, Blue Fire... This game core movement is responsive and satisfactory enough, yet extremely basic. All those games i mentioned have lots of different movements you can execute to move through the stages, here you just jump, glide, slide, thats all.
Dont wanna sound rude or anything, im liking the game, but your comment just blowed my mind as soon as i saw it, and felt the need to respond it lol.
First Im sorry you dont know the term "Jump n Run" I guess thats my fault ?
You could have just googled if the term exists instead of just claiming the word doesnt exist.
And a game being easy is never "to be expected" no matter the genre.
Second yes I do think this has the best gameplay out of all non Nintendo games also the ones you mentioned.
It doesnt matter that this game has less moves than "A hat in time" because in a hat in time it feels like your character has no weight and the Level design is also mediocre at best.
It doesnt feel satisfiying to make a jump on a Plattform because it barely feels like you control the character the movement is so weirdly choppy because theres to less animations.
Its multiple little stuff that makes the movement feel cheap.
This game in comparision has very nice level design and your character falls down in a speed that feels good and moves in a nice way like in mario 64 / sunshine / Odyseey.
Dont wanna sound rude or anything but people have different opinions and you could share your view in a normal way without sounding like you are the All-Father of 3D Plattforming without even knowing what a fking Jump n Run is. :)
And again, didnt mean to sound rude, i just found it really curious that from the wide variety of platformers out there you consider this one as the best in terms of mechanics, just that.
