Moreover, I noticed that a windows update has been installed, KB5001716. I replaced all the files affected by the update with older versions but no results at all. The endless black screen seems have fallen in love with me :P
I hope it'll be userful

Hello! Thanks for letting us know. If possible, we'd need to take a look at your files to see if we can get more info about the crash. Would you be able to send us both your dump file mentioned above ( C:\Users\cosam\AppData\Local\Temp\City20-Win64-Shipping (2).DMP ) and the whole save folder, which you can find at C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\City20 ?
Please send that to customer.care@untoldgames.com using WeTransfer - which is a free and fast way to move files around.
If you're running into the issue one workaround that could help is to access your City 20 folder and the delete your user settings at City20\Saved\Config\Windows\GameUserSettings.ini
The game will recreate the configuration file and should start.
Also if your Linux user - Change Proton version ( 9.0-3 ) to latest one (( not the experimental ) this has worked for me as originally I was having the black screen issue
doesn't help me when I don't have a saved file.
Ive Deleted all game files, Uninstalled then reinstalled
Ive Outright Uninstalled and reinstalled
Ive Verified the Files
am I missing a valid Solution? one that doesn't require a save file that doesn't exist?
Hey, I'm sorry to hear you're still experiencing issues with this. I understand you've removed the game files via Steam, but have you made sure you've also removed the configuration files and everything else we've mentioned in this thread? Those files won't be removed when you uninstall the game, so they need to be deleted manually.
Also: I'd still like to get to know a bit more about your machine. You've mentioned bits of your config throughout the comments, but I don't think we ever got a full picture of what you're running City 20 on. Getting access to that information would be instrumental in properly diagnosing the issue!
