Hey everyone! As you might have noticed, our demo has gone live here on Steam!

I'm Alessandro, the community person for City 20. As the demo will be up a while, we've decided to create this thread to collect your comments, feedback, and ideas on what you've played so far.

Also having this issue, I can see the demo when I search up the game but it just brings me to the standard games page with no demo/download button anywhere.

you should all see the Download Demo button on the right part of the main game page

Looks like there was an issue with the page where the green "download demo" banner wasn't showing. That's fixed now and you should be able to see the button in its usual place, immediately under the trailers/screenshots.

If you still can't see it, please let me know and we'll look into it!

The interface needs a lot of work, especially on keyboard and mouse. The game seems very interesting.

I start the game and the dev steals my controller for like 5 minutes?
No skip conversation, no fast dialog, not anything... just watch the screen for 5 minutes and read stupid stuff instead of playing. GENIUS

I dislike controllers. Would it be possible for me to remap buttons to keyboard keys and or some mouse controls(for some reason the mouse wheel doesn't work... ...obviously insufficient cheese.) It looks promising, but I really only took a cursory look. Thanks for your time. Tom.

My biggest issue with the game right now is honestly just how quickly you get hungry and thirsty. It makes doing anything a pain. Like, I should not have to eat 20 apples a day to keep fed...

Well same for me. I like the graphics and the setting but the hunger/thirst rate is friggin insane...

The opening cut scene is skippable. Press B on a controller, or if using mouse+keyboard hit any button and then right-click "SKIP".

Plus, it sets the tone and provides some backstory. For new players to the game (everyone at this point), it's useful information in a 60-second scene.

Hey Tom! Thanks for the feedback. The demo's currently optimized to be played with a controller, but using your mouse and keyboard should work just fine and still give you access to everything in the game. We are also considering tweaking the controls later down the line, but that won't happen in time for the demo

Heya! We received several reports of the needs system being a bit too "needy" for some of our players and we are working on rebalancing that a bit. Keep an eye out for any updates!

I agree. Would have liked to change the camera angle a little too to help find some food, till it got dark
