so what’s the point of this whole new update then? Can you buy things remotely and then have them delivered? I thought this update was supposed to be the automation of trade-in production, it seems like you can’t actually automate anything
Using the Coal Production you start with in Silverbloom HQ, grab a spare ship/freighter. Setup a Freight Route with Crossington Town, tell it to take cargo*20 Sorted Coal from SHQ, and bring back cargo size*1 Excavation Tools Back. This will mean you will bring back the tools needed to craft the coal again without getting too many tools stockpiled.
Now, fly to Crossington Town, and buy the dock (Technically not needed, AFAIK, but getting the dock for 200e in everytown is a good idea, IMHO) and Warehouse. Then go into the market that sells Tool for cheap, and setup a buy order for the Excavation Tools for at least the amount you need to supply the mine ship, I'd round to nearest stack size (Ie. I need 38, so I stock 40). Buy at least one run worth of Ex Tools now (I suggest 2 so it keeps working while your supply ship is getting more tools after loading up on coal), and fly to HQ, put the tool into the warehouse, and setup two filter coal on repeat, and two mine coal on repeat.
And that is it. You'll have to sell the coal manually when it is shipped, but that can be done remotely, and the rest is now 100% automated. It probably isn't worth it, and you'll wanna increase the size of the SHQ warehouse when you can, but you get that coal production for free, so might as well use it. Oak Planks at PirnMill Town is my next step, but it is a little more involved, I think.
