Just finished the game...
Firstly I do appreciate all the help I got here. Even the old threads which gives me info. And doubly so for going shields because good lord, every single enemy in the final fight runs double railgun broadsides. I don't want to imagine going against that armor only.

Didn't expect the end to be that end though. I thought I would be able to continue free roaming, but that's what saves are for. And at least answered what would happen to the stuff I stashed at the area.

Did feel that perhaps we should have landed and then took off to fight perhaps? Dunno, but at least I got to land back at HQ to rearm. Imagine actually having to fight back to back.

One thing that surprised me though, is that despite the aesthetics, the late game meta feels a lot like modern naval warfare to me. Where the best tank isn't armor, but shields which is like ewar along with just the sheer bulk of your ships. And your best guns are fighters.

Now that I'm done, I want to go back and travel around with light-medium ships. Which is another thing I appreciate, that late game you still get all these level ones and other medium levels around. I hate games which forces you to either master the game or travel around with heavies because all the light enemy forces magically disappeared.

Other than that, I also want to see if I can build some direct fire BCs to run around in. My idea is to copy the final bosses build and see what I can make work.

Thank you very much for your comment and your support. We wanted to make the end somewhat more seemless as well, but after a lot of consideration we decided that it's best to let players continue from the save before the final fight.

I think the ending of this game is not only shocking but also ridiculous.

The sisters who have steadily built up affection appear as mid-bosses all at once, and the world ends up dead regardless of their survival.

This made my plan to slowly travel the remaining worlds and fill up the factory's inventory after defeating the bosses seem like nothing.

I was preparing a post asking for a fix for the inconvenience of having to attach tiles one by one to an empty deck while trying to disassemble the ship and sell it, but in an instant, the unfair world ended and I was left clicking my empty mouse.
The world isn't dead though. Just whatever got bombed.
Unless you mean the game ended, that's a little annoying.
