Greetings! I agree with the author of the post - there are usually few green fields anyway (especially for Aecerlian Kingdoms (AK) ships). I'm currently using the Monarch Eagle battlecruiser and have had great difficulty getting the energy balance to 800+. The use of “technical” modules for green fields is difficult. If there were high quality weapons without using energy, this would not create problems. But all decent weapons require energy and a lot of it. If “technical” modules could be installed not only on green fields, but also on fields of a different color, this would significantly expand the possibilities for optimally filling ships!
What are you trying to stack on your Monarch Eagle?
Here's a build that has +100k combat power (without mines), 75k shields, +70 KPH combat, +850 KPH cruise, with +1200 energy surplus and even 4 Alphahawk lofts and a couple of Nightmare Stables for fun.:

These are all end game (current end game) components, but it is possible to stack green room components and still get a good power surplus on the Monarch Eagle.
You have 6 towers 2*4 of the fastest green level and only 2 purple or “gold” class, and I have 8 “golden” towers. Instead of purple 1*3 guns, I have blue class barrels but with a range of 410m. and so on. My combat speed is 85 km/h. The total power is 86K since I don’t use “birds”. Shields 85800 (+670). Cruising speed is about 700 km/h. Energy balance +916. As one of our songs says, “Everyone chooses for himself...”. But in both your and my case, the ship does not have “technical” modules for restoring fuel/ammunition/materials. There is simply no energy capacity to supply them. And it would be possible to install “special” modules on squares of other colors besides green - this would significantly expand the possibilities in the game.

If I wanted, I have the power surplus to turn those calibration rooms into fuel/ammo/materials restoration, at the cost of combat power.. However, I don't ever restore fuel/ammo/materials on my battle-cruiser flagship; I put those on my escorts, if at all. Fuel restoration is a waste of space on a battle-cruiser, in my opinion (too little fuel per second); the other two have marginal utility, even on an escort.
Edit:
I don't know exactly what this is trying to say, but all of my weapons/birds are "purple" or "gold" quality. None of them are "green." Just so we're clear.
I couldn’t install the calibration at all! ((Only the battle bridge. Perhaps your configuration is more optimal, but as an “old player” I filled as many “golden” and purple barrels as possible, and they are terribly energy-hungry! I’ll think about it. But for example, part of the holds or even weapons/ I would spend the armor on “special” modules.
I see why I have more power than you (despite the fact that I'm using armor and you have mana canvas). You're not using all combustion dynamos. If you switch to large combustion dynamos, you can generate an additional 900 energy per second.
Greetings again! I looked at the trunks. If you have a purple/gold set of weapons, then 6 "main caliber" turrets consume 200/s per job and 385/1.9=202.6/s while firing, and my "gold" ones consume 320/s per work and 1760/7.5=234.(6)/s when firing (although mine have a longer range). The same is true with running guns. You have 4 purple ones with a range of 300m and an energy cost of 90/s 110/1.4=78.6/s, and I have 6 “golden” ones at 540m with a cost of 160/s 456/4=114/s. This is how “extra” energy consumption accumulates. Unfortunately, the game does not have high quality long-range artillery with requirements like HEAVY STEEL CANNON - only ammunition without energy consumption. There are also problems with high-level weapons 1*1 and 1*2. There is a passable air defense purple barrel 1*1 and there is a very mediocre purple barrel 1*2, and this, in my opinion, is wrong. So we have to find a balance.
Then yes, it will be difficult to squeeze a 2x2 space out of the green squares to put something other than a dynamo in that spot and still have power for combat.
