So far there's a few complaints, if you haven't done so yet, watch some videos.
For me it has worth my money and time so far.
Until then, after 8 hours, this game became very annyoying.
I'm really hoping they finish the game, rebalance things, and add some desperately-needed quality-of-life features because I love the concept and setting. Until it gets closer to that point, though, I can't recommend it.
Combat balance, Economic balance, storyline, characters, UI, UI, UI, performance, all need a significant amount of work.
To me, it feels like I AM captaining a ship: there are moments of action, between stretches of peace. You can manage the moments, indulge the moments, or skip the moments with the time accelerator key.
Could more be done? Sure. I've seen some gnarly quest dialogue, but I'm not gonna rake the devs over the coals. But for a game asking for $24.00 right now, it's worth it. If it was asking like $40-$70 for a AAA price, I'd say stay away.
So have measured expectations that it may not be for you.
