How I fixed Reaxxion startup problem

Reaxxion can now be purchased on BigFishGames. I went to the website and installed the trial version of Reaxxion..Of course it came with the BigFishGames download installer. After I started the game up for the first time I then quit and uninstalled the BigFishGames installer. I went into the Reaxxion folder and deleted anything to do with BigFishGames. I then went to the Steam folder where Reaxxion is installed and a copied and pasted the Reaxxion.exe from the BigFishGames Reaxxion into the Steam version Reaxxion.....my reaxxion now works thru Steam!!

DO NOT VERIFY GAME CACHE or it will delete and replace the game.exe and it won't start again!!

Where did you find the proper exe? I looked in the folder and found only weirdly renamed exe that didn't do anything when I renamed them...

I got the Reaxxion exe from the BigFishGame Reaxxion Trial folder. When you get the trial version from BigFishGames.....I don't think you should rename the exe just delete the Steam supplied exe and put the BigFishGames Reaxxion.exe in its place.....again DO NOT Verify GAME CACHE as it will replace the game.exe again and not start...

Did you download the trial version of Reaxxion from BigFishGames? Remember to keep a copy of the BigFishGames Reaxxion.exe incase it gets replaced by steam. That way you will always have it if things go wrong and you won't have to download it again from BigFishGames.....It is an easier fix for MumboJumbo....but they don't care!! HaHa

The version from bigfish does not work either. Any other ideas?

yes, I followed your steps. The reaxxion from big fish is encrypted and extracts itself every time it is run so it can't work. What folder exactly did you get your reaxxion.exe from?

I got the .exe from the bigfishgames folder....then I copied it into the reaxxion folder where steam version is. Did the bigfishgames version work for you?

Better yet, can you provide a link, like for dropbox, that has the exe you are using? That would be most helpful.

yes it did but the exe is encrypted and requires the bigfish launcher to decrypt it in order to run. Perhaps the bigfish version has been changed and locked down since you made your post. though I dont know why.
