Looking for Steam Launcher suggestions for Proton 7+

It appears that with the release of Proton 7.0 and the current Proton Experimental (7.1) that Reaxxion once again moved beyond the initialisation steps and launches the game (unsuccessfully).

The lava icon blips in and out briefly as I hear the loading static sound... but the screen stays blank after that and no more audio is heard.
