How do I get to the village?

Stuck on the part where I met Aurea and need to get rid of the giant vines to the village. I have explored all accessible forest areas.

I do not want to watch a 3+ hour video to explain what I need to do. The tooltips and quest list definitely need details and fixing (they are not helpful) and the hat just tells me I need to stay at the house for "a while"?

Just hand me the answer, someone, please...
