Bought the game but it launches as demo instead

Hello! I haven't still found a way to fix this so I hope I might get some help over here. I bought the game last year and have 12h of game, all save files have a steam cloud backup too. This year I got a new pc and installed the game again, but it launches as a demo version for no reason, and doesn't let me load my previous saves. I got the game when it was early access too so no device of mine has ever installed the demo. I've tried uninstalling and downloading again from the official game page but doesn't seem to fix the problem. Has anyone encountered this same problem? Honestly I really don't want to play those 12 hours all over again lol...

My condolences

1. the massive content update "Cloud Valley" was incompatible with previously existing saves and the resolution was to not allow their transfer. You will need to play the game from the start if you want to get to the new content and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

2. If you're worried that the game says "I'm a demo" then this is just because this is still early access? After that screen, you will get to see "Early access version x.xxx.xxx" in the corner. you can use that to reference the actual game versions and compare with the patch notes to see it's current.
