Cloud Valley--Need Help/Tips and Tricks
I am so lost with Cloud Valley. The place is huge and the network it has with all the moving parts is such a pain. But that's not the worst part for me. I can't figure out how to harvest/collect a majority of the creatures in this new realm. And I figure I'm not the only one struggling so I thought to make this thread as a way to organize all cloud valley tips and tricks on catching/harvesting the creatures and plants in it as well as accomplish the achievements for the book.

Some things I have figured out:
Cotton Doggy: get them to run in the puddles back and forth to create soggy fur. You can do this by taking their mushroom and having them chase you. Tip: sometimes they run into the puddles themselves (which takes out half the work for you) and then you can finish the task in less time.
FurBall Rat: the big boned ones are the easiest to chase and are also their special form. Tip: for regular ones they like to sleep in closed flowers. Simply walk to a closed flower and if it indicates you can open it, do so, and a sleepy little rat will fall out. No chasing required.
Nectar Moth: like bush bug, harvest when glowing
Grass Whistler: similar to the game "hot and cold" the closer you are to the bug, the louder the note. Tip: each area has specific spawn locations so you can predict where the bug will end up.
Shroom Raccoon: Tip: sticky grip potion is the only thing that I've really found to work and be helpful when harvesting.
Crown Mole: Tip: you can slightly preload the pick axe. Load to max and make sure you're in their trajectory.

Bellody: when using the shovel harvest on the middle red line. Tip: the shovel speed is much faster so hit a little sooner to the red middle to get the flower up in one go.
Moongirth: run through the petals over and over until only the rose remains.

Need Additional Help With:
FurBall Rat: Irritate? How?
Cloud Gecko: Keeps vanishing unless harvested on ground
Honey Piglet: I'm about to chuck my pc I'm so frustrated. HOW???
Leafbeaver: Same as Honey Piglet. So fast and HOW??
Tail-breathing Croc: Cute but can't figure it out either. HOW??

Wish Flower: the harvest is different every time?
Cloudbloom: I think you just stand under the fruit as it falls? Is that right?

Also: how do I achieve the one'eyed frog achievement of catching it in the water? I've tried but can't seem to get this to work? Am I supposed to get in the water? Am I supposed to find a spot on land and net into the water? So confused???

You can throw a potion at the doggys - this gives much more and you can sometimes catch multiple doggys with one potion.
You only need to catch the moths "when glowing" for the book.
Raccoon - it's possible to harvest from them without the potion if you are persistent and chase them after they fly once, but potion simply yields more and prevents setbacks.
Moongirth - you need to do some bugnet swatting for the book.

About the rats. You can find both kinds sleeping in the flowers.
To irritate them, you chase them and chase them WITHOUT harvesting. It takes a while.

Gecko - approach slowly and press the button as soon as possible.
Piglet - either bump them around to huff more mushroom spores (regular ones) or use the round potion (this is the only thing that will work on the shiny ones)
Leafbeaver - use the swim boost and spam the collection button. try to chase them in a straight(or diagonal) line and avoid the poof plants because they dive under them. (actually do that sometimes because book)
Croc: regular method - stand on them and QUICKLY smash the pickaxe (no time to max, just hit lightly) they will dive, you need to swim around their location until you see bubble trail, follow it until it resurfaces, repeat. (have to do that a couple times for the book)
Proper method - chug a potion before stepping on them, fully load the pickaxe, slam.
Wish flower - either get to it before the petals fall or catch the seed in a net. it picks between releasing the seed and repeating their bloom cycle randomly.
Cloudbloom - honestly just pick it up. Diving under it is fast. Spores will slow you down. Various approaches feed the book.

Frog - you are meant to be IN the water and DIVE under a frog to snatch it.
Only a portion of frogs will remain catchable after you spook them into the water.

For the moving parts, it will take some work to unlock all the routes but once everything is fixed it will be much easier. There are four "up-down" spots and you will be able to traverse both levels fully without them.

Cotton Doggy - Thunderstorm potion yields WAY more than the non-potion method. you can still complete the book using mostly the potion method by playing with the dogs once and then just beaning them with the potion lol
SHINY FORM: white with pink flowers

FurBall Rat Irritate? How? - Like @TheQueenSalis says above, FurBall Rats can be irritated by repeatedly chasing them till they stop without harvesting the fur. an easy/time saving way to do so is to spam the left and right key while running while they're tired on the ground as running into them is part of what makes them lose steam for a bit -> triggering irritation animation earlier (you can harvest it while it's got the irritation/anger speech bubble, but you need to be quick otherwise they'll run away too fast for you to harvest anything)
SHINY FORM: chubby FurBall Rat

Cloud Gecko: Keeps vanishing unless harvested on ground - don't run toward it and slowly climb towards it. patience is your friend in this scenario
SHINY FORM: more purple-ish (I've only had one so take this with a grain of salt)

Grass Whistler: similar to the game "hot and cold" the closer you are to the bug, the louder the note. Tip: each area has specific spawn locations so you can predict where the bug will end up.
SHINY FORM: two leaves on its head (symmetrical), instead of the crown like three leaves

Shroom Raccoon: Tip: sticky grip potion is the only thing that I've really found to work and be helpful when harvesting.
SHINY FORM: bigger with additional tufts of fur near its cheeks

Crown Mole: Tip: you can slightly preload the pick axe. Load to max and make sure you're in their trajectory.
- you don't always have to max the pick axe. if you tap lightly on the round shaped ones (if I remember correctly), then they won't move away from you and you can continue hitting it (lightly) until all the crystals come off without the worry of it retreating to another part of the tower and messing with your collection book.
SHINY FORM: three giant crystals sticking out of the rock (aka a kings crown)

Honey Piglet: I'm about to chuck my pc I'm so frustrated. HOW??? - needs a inflation potion (no non-potion way to get it to my knowledge)
SHINY FORM: gold(?)

Tail-breathing Croc: Cute but can't figure it out either. HOW?? - Diet potion, though if you're persistent enough just lightly tapping on its tail & following when it retreats-ing process works
SHINY FORM: pink

Leafbeaver: Same as Honey Piglet. So fast and HOW?? - on the off chance you haven't discovered this yet, strategically pressing the space button will help you dash where you want to go (DON'T HOLD, it's a short distance dash and not a consistent speed up, just tapping is fine). try not to lead it into any corners as it will dash towards you making it easier to miss (e.g. it dashing south while you're trying to dash north to catch it) SHINY FORM: two leaves on its head instead of one

Wish Flower: the harvest is different every time? - this is due to the wish flower releasing the seed when the flower is close to 'dying' for the night. if you want to fill the book up, it's easier to wait for the flowers to bloom right next to it and quickly collect it before it loses any petals OR visit the mushroom towers late in the evening which increases. chances for flying wish flower seeds
SHINY FORM: blue petals (unblossomed flower will glow blue as well instead of the pink in normal wish flowers)

Cloudbloom: I think you just stand under the fruit as it falls? Is that right? - 2 methods help complete the book:
letting the spores fall before doing so - swim/wait around the outskirts of where the spores fall before carefully collecting it (I always just press the collect button just in case)
spore cleanse - quickly swim towards the Cloudbloom and dive to get rid of spores before/after (I believe it's easier to get it to count by doing it after collection but this is just my experience)
SHINY FORM: black/dark grey

Also: how do I achieve the one'eyed frog achievement of catching it in the water? I've tried but can't seem to get this to work? Am I supposed to get in the water? Am I supposed to find a spot on land and net into the water? So confused???

- easiest time to do this is late at night, they're more likely to stay at the surface of the water than dive away into the abyss during this time (lol). Yes, you should be in the water to collect them with your hands but it's way easier to sneak into the water first, then step on one of the entrances to the ponds in order to spook the frogs without wasting time getting in the water.
