Softlocked?? Earmuff Potion becomes Earplug Potion

Hi everyone, with the new update I started a new save file and I am attempting to make the earmuff potion for a quest. In the journal the entry reads as "Earmuff Potion", but when going to the cauldron to make it, it shows up as "Earplug Potion". Same ingredients, same recipe as the earmuff potion. When made it also comes up as earplug potion and there is no option to drink/consume the potion (which is required for completion of this main story quest). So I'm essentially softlocked at this stage in the game and cannot progress.

I'm not sure where the mismatch in names is coming from, it must have been renamed at some point, and now the game doesn't recognize it for some reason?? I'm not sure. Has anyone else encountered this on a new save?

Yes I am experiencing this right now. I have two quests that are bugged; "Find the Prickly Vine Core" and "Potion Delivery Test: Beginner" I talked to Arden and he told me that I can get past the Gaga bird if I can't hear it and it won't give me the option to drink it... I hope they fix this soon because as of right now, I can't get past anything else in the game.

Yes that's what happened to me too!! I tried spam talking to Arden across a few in game days and it didn't help. I tried everything, even deleted my save and started a new one and ran into the same thing :(

When you say there's no option to drink the potion, are you using the Potion selector menu ? I think it's the A button on Qwerty keyboard.

Oh my gosh, this whole time I was looking for a "Eat" button from selecting it from the inventory not the potion selector. Fixed now, thank you!

I definitely was not in the potion selector menu I didn't even think to look there. Honestly that menu feels clunky when the potions are available in your normal inventory. I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to interact with them there in addition to the separate menu. If there was a separate potions pouch or something then the seperate menu feels like it makes sense. Oh well lol, whoops, been sitting on that for a month for no reason. Thanks so much!! This was indeed the solution.

A separate potion pouch would be a good idea tbh

The potion selector menu makes sense when using a controller. It’s a shortcut like the tool selector. But it does make sense to be able to access them through your inventory too.
