stuck in the witches house

I just started playing the game - so far, I cleaned up the witches basement and brewed my first potion. I would love to leave and go on with my quests, but I can't since the hat keeps reminding me that I should clean up before leaving. I have been looking through every corner - I cannot find anything left to clean up.

After I looked at some walkthroughs, it would seem that I am not shown the complete basement and changing resulotion or restarting the game did not fix that.

Thankful for any advice!

You have to make the potion, I was also stuck there

Also stuck but figured it out. Walk to the cauldron and press the Interact button and brew the potion. However, if you've played the game before the new update, be ready for some changes in how one does potion-making. It's harder now but at least failing returns the ingredients to you.
