Cloud Valley Prickly Vine Puzzle Bug

I went into the cloud Valley upstream area(?) that you need the blue witch's chalk to enter and I've been stuck on the 1st room with the weights. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong but whenever I finish completing the right hand side of the water puzzle, I'm unable to change anything about the left-hand side. whenever I've left to see if there was maybe a solution found outside of the immediate area, I can't remove the weight from the right hand side either (even if I removed the weight and put it on the ground right before leaving the area)
I've tried using the thunderstorm potion in both the left waterwheel and left pool section so I'm not sure what I should do....

you weigh differently from the heavy weights
some slots have hooks, some slots have handles. some have both
if you're too heavy for something, there is a potion for that.

I'm not sure if you figured this puzzle out or not already, but I had the same problem and found the solution. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but apparently you have to have the thunderstorm potion and diet potion with you because you'll need it after you open the gate. I had to wait the next day to come back and finally weigh myself on the left hook for water to flow through the pipe and onto the water wheel. The gate will finally open for you. I hope this helps!

for this weight puzzle, there are 2 points u can grab and pull the lever, firstly remove the weigh on the LEFT and put the weigh on the floor, and grab the lever on the LEFT (the one thats holding the weigh).. very importantly u need to solve the FIRST PUZZLE ON THE LEFT. secondly, you just take the weigh from the ground and put it on the RIGHT puzzle then pull the lever on the RIGHT. solved.

It's a bug some player who have solved this puzzle still can't move on.
