First feel after 8 hours of playing
I like the game, all the text in the begining bored me as much as the train ride bored our little witch but that's an issue I have with most games (me problem lol)
The characters so far are lovely and I really like the design of all them (met the carpenter recently so not too many yet). I am disapointed the Florist guy from the train isn't going to be part of my journey but now I have the bird lady.
The graphics are simply wonderful and I love how everything look. I'm looking forward to be a nuisance to the ecosystem.
Now for a few cons I personnaly experieced.
The potion making is a bit of a pain in the fact I don't have the short term memory necessary to remember the reciepies and cooking methods of everything so ended up writing it up. which leads me to my next observasion : time didn't stop when I was on my journal to copy the reciepies (candies and potions) down on paper so I accidentally waisted about 2 days. It maybe a good idea to add the reciepes as visible with the cauldron (could be an amelioration through Diane)
On top of it, during the ameliorations of my stuff in the house, I never know how much I have or what I am missing. At one point I went to add more storage and assumed I needed more wood after being rejected (was working on a stock shortage of wood at the time) but was in fact missing gold (reminder I am one of thoses player who forget what they just read or said they needed the second it's not in front of them). Maybe work the ameliorations in a similar esthetic as the witch's potion deliveries, a bit more visual and showing wow much we have and what is missing could be a huge help.

Overall I really like what I saw and played, definetly will add more hours to my playing time (a bit sad it's early access and not the full release but I'll be patient).

I read your comment, thank you for sharing. In my opinion it is realistic that reading the journal takes your time. You spent two days straight to learn about potions, so you are eager to learn. Isn't that a wonderful proof of your inquisitive side? There is an endless amount of days that you can spend in this world, so I do not understand that feeling of having "lost" two ingame days. I look recipies up in the journal all the time. I like this game mechanic a lot. It helps me to immerse myself into that witchy way of life, that obviously spins around learning to understand all the ingredients and the craft of potion making in its own. I like this calm sandbox gameplay that doesn't spin around big adventures or endless puzzles to solve. Good luck to you!

Unfortunately I am the one morron that goes 'I need 2 more iron, 4 sticks and one plank', then moves to 'what did I need again ?' 3 seconds later. I also prefer when a game pauses when in menues.
Moreover I did say It's a me problem when there's a lot of exposition, I shy away from visual novels because of all the reading. It's necessary, especially at the begining of most games, but I personnaly still am not a fan of texts...
