What do you mean? Solar and Nuclear are already in the game. Biofuel and E-Fuel as well.

I just hope the infection isn't so annoying that I have to uninstall the game

yea thats usually the only solution, lines of cracking units.... Problem is cracking units produce emissions too, which (if hydrogen power comes out) would leave you with 2 options.....

1 - use the diesel to power trucks and ships, creating pollution.
or
2 - crack the diesel into other products, creating pollution, and power the vehicles with hydrogen.

The ultimate problem here is the concept that 'hydrogen is free', because 'desalinators and electrolysers are free', because 'electricity is free', because 'nuclear power is OP and the raw material, ie uranium, is probably the cheapest ore in game, and the tiny amount you DO use can be reduced even FURTHER with breeder reactors....

The only emissions produced are Carbon Dioxide or Sour Water, both of which are incredibly useful things. Nuclear is actually even less OP here then it is IRL, a kg of coal is 8,000 kcal of energy, a kg of uranium contains 2.5 million times as much energy.

By nuclear is OP I am talking about the ease of getting the materials. While oil and coal you need multiple high level (12+) mines or contracts, iron/copper you need to contract out processed goods like consumer goods, servers, research packs, ect. that take a lot of processing, quarts/lime you again either need level 20+ mines or contracts, and rock there is only one mine and no contracts so generally that mine you need at level 30+. However with uranium, a single level 4 mine can more than keep up with several maxed out reactors.
