The default key bindings are perfect for me.
I use Page Up/Page Down to raise and lower the transports.
F1 Tutorial - Agreed
I use the mouse to select the screen icon for Recipes.
M for World Map - Edit: I am now using M for Mining and D for Dumping.
(I don't use WASD, I use the arrow keys when not using the mouse to move.)
I might use W for World Map as well, but I usually use the screen Icon for this.
R for Rotate (build mode) and CTRL + R for Research - I think it is best never to base anything on context.
Cut is used to let you move a ghost of an item to another location. (I use X)
