Fuel station not being fueled.

Not sure what I am doing wrong here but I made a fuel station, I assigned two trucks too it. and they just sit there, not doing jack all. My excavators are running out of fuel since the fuel plant is far away from the dig sites.

The fuel stations don't get refueled directly from trucks. You'll have to run a pipeline between a diesel source and the station. One option would be to build a small tank locally next to the station, connect the two, and set a minimum diesel content on the tank so your trucks keep it filled up.
The trucks assigned to the station only have one task, and that's refueling other vehicles like excavators.

Thanks for the reply, after posting this I realized it needed a pipeline and I decided to just run a pipe half way across my island. Everything is bottle-necking and is super inefficient right now, but that's half the fun of learning a new game.

In early game, I place a fuel storage next to the main dock and connect it to the dock and to the fuel station, and also to the first power station I place. Then the trucks will fill the fuel storage and everything connected to that with pipes. This works well for quite awhile, until you have researched and started builiding more things that need power.

Running a pipe all the way across the map, also works but that takes a lot of resources that could be used elsewhere initially. Maybe when you get to making Construction 2 parts, would be a better time to start running pipes and belts all over.
