Sulfur Elimination
I've got a pretty good island going, and I'm thinking of building exhaust scrubbers to help cut down on pollution. The major issue is that those produce sulfur, and I'm already up to my neck in the stuff. I've got 6 distillation chains going to produce all the diesel I need.

I understand there are a lot of solutions for getting rid of sulfur, but none of them have been working great for me.

Turn it into acid - I'm doing that. Using as much acid as I can for processing copper, glass, and uranium. Just started using it for gold.

Turn it into rubber - Also doing that as much as I can. I don't consume that much rubber. I'm even selling as much rubber off as I can through trade whenever another island will take it, but my rubber storage still maxes out.

Turn it into fertilizer - doing that as much as I can, and setting my farm fertility high enough that the fertilizer is always consumed. I still need ammonia, and it's hard to get that without the very process that creates sulfur in the first place. I could try creating more ammonia from hydrogen, but that seems like a complicated process, and I'm still fairly good on food.

Turn it into slag - Not sure if this one is a good idea, since Limestone is limited. Maybe it's so high that I could do that anyway and still not worry about running out?

Burn it - Apparently, while burning the sulfur still creates a lot of air pollution, it's still less pollution than just releasing exhaust without scrubbing it. But it would be nice to have a better solution.

What's a good solution for the sulfur issue going forward? I haven't gotten into Electronics 2 or 3 yet. Do those processes consume enough Sulfur byproducts like acid and rubber to balance its production out? How do you handle it in the late-game?

Limestone should be available via a limestone mine on the world map and through trade.

All of them combined, really.
Especially electronic production consumes a lot of sulfur in its entire process, though.
