Trucks not dumping dirt or rock, etc...

Hi All,

I designated a mining area to mine some iron ore with the mining control building and assigned the excavator and a dump truck, but the dump truck is saying it has nowhere to dump the dirt or rock, but I have designated a dump area. I tried putting a dumping area both inside and outside the area of the mining control building but the truck won't take it anywhere. Is there something I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Edit: I also made sure that both the global dump filter and the dump filter for the mining control building has the proper materials included (dirt, rock, etc...)

What's in the truck? You can click on it to see. I might be whatever your actually after, coal, iron, whatever, and the truck has nowhere to store it.

Yeah I looked at the truck and one has dirt the other has rock

Is the dumping area elevated? If not, that could be the problem. Your dumping area should contain the 3D volume the dumped products should occupy in the way that your mining designations contain the 3D volume where things should be dug up.

I have no idea what you said after the first sentence, but this might be the reason.
Make the dumping zone a ramp leading upwards from ground level.

I've had the problem of having a dumping zone too far away, but mainly inaccessable (didnt know then) and my trucks would dump slag into the dock. Make sure things are able to get where they need to go for one.

Ok thanks for the tips! I will try what has been suggested. I have a strong feeling the dumping area needing to be elevated might be it, but I’ll also make sure it’s not too far and is accessible.
