OP is talking about game speed, not game progression.
What is rushing you? I have to agree with hektor in that area. Slow your progression and you can play slower. Or did you mean something else?
I'm not talking at all about progression, which is why I specifically referenced "timescaling" in my reply. The "rush" is that days with the current options tick by quickly, and the resources on your island are finite until you get to recycling and trade, and/or a high enough tech levels to implement closed-loop operations.
I'm the sort of player who likes to watch and analyze operating systems, and system flow, in addition to just watching the activity that's been initiated by the new orders I've given.
Having the option to adjust the time-scale, in this case to slow time, which has zero to do with progression is merely a QoL item. In addition, as I said in my prior post, I'd also prefer to not have to pause time completely while playing.
tl/dr: it's a QoL request
