Solved Trucks won't empty slag from smelters.
Since loading in today my smelters have all stalled because trucks will no longer empty them of slag. I have a dumping pile and loose storage for my concrete stacker. I'm really confused especially since i seem to have 7 idle trucks under normal load.

It really seems that slag may be bugged actually. since the loose storage connected to my sorter isn't even filling form the conveyors anymore either. does anyone know how to fix this?

EDIT. my dumb ass somehow got the dumping designation 2 levels below the ramp height.

Trucks are busy doing other jobs. I see no bugs :steammocking:

A lot of times while playing captain of industry. I find things don't work because of path or not connected. Be sure the path "arrows are in the right direction" you can change direction. Also make sure that the conveyor belts are connected, this is simple problem. You can click on belt or pipe and will tell you if connected.

Dump Research is available or turning slag into cement "that is not the fasted way" to get rid of slag. I would choose to dump slag, either for using it for cement. Far away from your build!

Recheck save file could be corrupted. That happens too.

This happens in Factorio too, the belts always change direction. after a save. I seen pipes disappear for no reason (B)

You can always dump slag into the ocean :steamhappy:

yeah the autosave before the save i made last night seems to be working properly.

but i really doubt dumping it into the ocean would have worked since normal dumping spots weren't working.

Make sure to check that the slag bins are set to keep empty as well. Trucks will not go dump it otherwise.

Truck delivery at this bin only On and Off.

But if it was working before and doesn't now, tells me connection is the problem

So how is your city and how many workers do you have? Make sure they have plenty of water and food. Check waste to make sure that it isn't full. You said you have plenty of trucks in idle. That tells me you don't have enough workers to drive them.

I never had trucks that idle, usually busy transporting goods. :steamhappy:
