Best way for mass hydrogen
To get those little vehicles on it. Thanks

Best way (secure): FBR -> Steam. Steam -> Power. Power -> Hydrogen.

Best way (most output): FBR -> Steam. Steam -> Hydrogen. (~2% more than the secure way, but meltdown can happen with a bad setup)

How would a meltdown happen? You just but a safety smoke stack before putting steam into machines...

In the 2. way: by using a smoke stack when you dont have enough water. It didnt happen to me but i tested it with an semifinite amount of water.

make an FBR and use the super steam to make Hydrogen

I have 20 trucks on it mid game just from the waste from making diesel.

Ahh but arent the nuke set-ups water-positive? As in, you route some steam into vacuum desalinators to make all the waters?

My nuke is set up to priority-route some steam into water making first, and then power, and then safety valve.
Ironically, now that I think about it, because mine DID suffer a meltdown due to low water :P

Switching to hydrogen will actually shift your petrochem industry quite a bit.

Basically, try to maximize naphtha production for plastic, and then use diesel for rubber (and cracking to naphtha), and make H2 to use up any fuel gas.

Any additional H2, first electrolyze excess ammonia, then use super-pressure steam from an FBR.

Hydrogen vehicles are a long way before FBR so prior to that, fuel gas > reformer is probably the simplest and should supply a big fleet. Back it up with excess ammonia > electroylser if you're not using the ammonia.

Note, that using fuel gas or ammonia needs you to balance diesel/hydrogen use because they are byproducts of making diesel.

Of course, if you have a tonne of power and water, just split water, pipe the oxygen to steel production etc.

I do just that, except, I am not at FBR in research yet. I haven't implemented any nuclear yet.

I'm getting everything from hydrogen out of oil.
I have hybrid h2 / coal power. Though the coal dosen't get tapped very much.
And all huge trucks running on h2.

I like hydrogen, low pollution.

I'll slowly get into the FBR, but I'm in no hurry. I have things running smoothly and don't want to upset my balance, I make small change sat a time. I have found if I overhaul too much at once, it can all go wrong.

I really don't even need that much plastic and rubber right now.

It is also possible to "grow" plastic, using the ethanol recipe.

I think we need more uses for plastic & rubber. I'd like to see a sporting goods & toys module for the settlement.

Rubbersinks are all kinds of electronics and the fact that you need it to build belts of any kind.

But I agree, more goods for your people! Rubber toys might be... Nsfw, though.

latex gloves for medical side. I looked up 48 most uses for rubber this is the only one I could logically fit in the game. unless we give the residents bikes/cars to drive.
