Just an idea, Trains?
I wonder if trains will ever be a part of Captain of Industry. Instead of using conveyor belts to ship resource and product.

Been asked for a few times, but they also have a Suggestions page, it already has a lot of votes for the playerbase:

Not counting the performance patches, Update 2 still took us quite some time. But there are reasons. Besides working on the large map editor, we were building infrastructure supporting a few features, such as roads and trains. We had hoped to introduce roads in Update 2, but that would delay the update until summer, which wasn’t reasonable. So, with a heavy heart, we had to postpone that effort. This was a difficult choice for us as well. On the bright side, Update 3 will come this year with a shorter wait than Update 2, mainly thanks to the investments we made during our work on Update 2. So, no progress was lost.

I don't know about roads, they become congested. Besides the routes are so complex and with freight moving all over the map at a drop of dime. It would be a nightmare! Like Simcity 4 . God I hated that game.

I played Satisfactory and just to move a vehicles, you have to draw a line, from stop to stop. "It was really confusing at first." until you got the hang of it. Seems Captain of Industry is just calls from many jobs, with priority marked for pickup and then drop off. Then vehicles are on to the next job.

With that being said; larger vehicles have to avoid heights from pipes and conveyor belts. I can't imagine how roads would improve that.

No problem if you can't implement it but trains or maybe a suspended monorail would be sweet

Second answer is the dev pointing this out as well.

Better, modular bridges would also be nice, especially if they plan on roads & trains.

I'd like to dig a deep trench and put a bridge many units above it. It could anchor belts and pipes on it, as well as under.

Thing is, trucks on this game don't have collision with each other so there wouldn't be any congestion as they can just pass through each other.
That is unless the devs have said somewhere that they plan to implement collision for vehicles, which I think would be a bad idea.
