Is it even possible to constantly remove all objects from the building without blocking it with others?!

This is the second time let me stop playing because there's so little opportunity to set up custom outputs and inputs for production lines... something I miss from day one.

Why I just can't set my own directions to create the perfect production line, yet the game forces you to always build buildings in the same specific direction.
Factorio is so much smarter.

Instead of adding a new useless ore separator that can only run on 1 main ore before constantly being full and basically the same problem as described above (1 product blocks the output of the other)
...they could finally revise basic things like the pipeline building system, which would finally make it possible for me to build at full range without constantly removing the last 3-4m of useless plots that don't use maximum range...
