It worked once (-x), after altering the map a bit i wasn´t able to place it without the "unable to place shipyard" warning. I´m a bit confused

Move it to the edge of the map on a flat edge. You can see if it fits with a cargo 8 building. This is what I have found.

Make sure the coast is straight, the water next to it is at least at -3 height, and the land is at 2 to 4 height.

To debug this more visually, try the entity tester (bottom right button) and try to place a cargo dock.

This is just insane, it wont let me set it. I have 3 perfect flat land with -10 water? The cargo fits perfectly with all green.

After trying for some time i got it, tried to place it on the left side of the island so, if i´m right you have to choose -X (from land to ocean), X if you want to place it on the right side of your island, Y for top and -Y for bottom. I guess the coast wasn´t straight enough... i have some problems to make a straight coast, i don´t know if i´m just doing it wrong. ^^

I had it where a shipyard would place. The starting location indicated good when I placed it. But when I click publish, then I get a message that the shipyard can't be placed.
