5. Block the retaining wall the seawater ?
The leak happen in my opinion to where you have a ditch at the top of the picture. The sea level is 0 so when you dig at zero and you are close to the shore, it may have a possible leak. So to prevent a leak, a few retainer walls may hold the water as long the retainer is higher than level 0.
As to pump out the water, that I do not know, but it may be possible.
As for your problem, fix the leak by filling out. and try to pump out the water. You dont want to lose the mine.
On the top its have a high of 0,5 ;) (naturaly) i see no seawater, but maybe it flows trough
Yes i have a big mine 3 retaining wall deep in the near (not to near thankfully) and if i finished the dock.project, i filling the hole again^^
i try it, ca 2 hours but i see no difference. sadly i don't see the waterlevel
thx for the answers and charity ;). most point i'm testing actually but it needs some time (and fuel^^) and hope someone have the same ideas and provocations. and they are some hiden ideas for the devs. maybe the engine its not intended in this directions (like beavercity watermills^^), i can life with it and take the game-wall if i understand it.

Floating my big mine...

I have it : the bright green in the middle is the "ocean"
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2822362266
conclusion: first fill up the level in the near of the ocean to 1 before digging...
The ocean moving up and down, and in this little disruption you see this. dig down to 1 and THEN fill up to 1, so you delete the ocean. thx for your attention.
(sry for bad english, not my language, hope you understood anyway ;) )
