Turbine produces mechanical power, not electricity. you need to connect power generator to it. Just slap them into a line, order doesn't even matter. Each of the starter turbines support 2 generators to you can line up like 2 turbines and 4 gens.

Research mechanical power storage and you can be more efficient with it by storing excess mechanical power too.

Use discord the screenshots and etc help and make it easier then here.

Look in the screenshots section of this game. There are a lot of good pictures there that show the proper setup for this.
I also watched a youtube video that was very helpful.

I've seen many people with the same question so I made a full explanation video on power how it works, and showed a working build in the video too.
I hope it helps

Started to watch your video but you speak way too fast for me to understand what you say. English is my first language. I enabled captions but the text flew by too fast to read.
Your video might have more good things in it but I think for now, I will stick with Nilaus videos. He already made a video about this subject.

I have the power setup as described. i have 5.xx mw available, 4.xx wanted and .2 mw coming out. basically i have the setup to give the power i need but the power wont produce. i have water, and boilers 2 boilers for 2 turbines, 8 power generators for 4 turbines and a fly wheel for each set of 4 turbines.. but my output will not pick up. i didn't change anything . water didn't run out and i did use more than i have. it was fine one minute and then then next all my power is in the red. any ideas?

Only thing I don't see mentioned is the "steam lo" output from turbine to a smoke stack. Make sure all your pipes are going in the right direction.

yep that is there. everything was fine. needed 4.xx mw getting 4.xx mw. then wanting 4.xx mw, only getting <1 mw. lots of steam going in turbine where just sitting.

I have a minor hearing problem, and English isn't my first language. I basically always need subtitles when watching movies or TV shows, but I didn't even bother to check if there were any subtitles in JD's video tutorial about power generation. His speech is perfectly clear.

Just a quick FYI for anyone reading this. If you ever get stuck because you don't know how to use something, get rid of it, or create it click on the recipe viewer button under the list of items on the right side of the screen. You can search for everything in there including recipes you haven't researched yet.

Reduce the playback speed.

Note you can chain turbines and generators together, one coal boiler will feed 2 turbines which feed for 360MW generators. It doesn't seem to matter which order you assemble them, can go turbine>turbine>generator>generator>generator>generator> or I guess could put 2 generators in the middle. I found that setup worked well enough, have 3 of them now.

don't run out of water though, power goes down and the pumps stop and no water to make power, it took a lot of pausing stuff to get the power from the few diesel generators I had running to restart the water system, and by that time all my chickens had died :(

Tip: Use multiple tanks for water and put the first one on an alert if it empties out. That way, it will warn you and you still have a buffer to react with.
