-make sure the area you try to dump your stuff nearby isn't under the range of a mine control tower that do not have the material you try to dump in his setting
-truck doesn't check the real distance, only from a bird point of view (kinda why you want to assign a fuel station to a mine control tower sometime)
-if you have 10 truck trying to dump stuff and 5 current tile where they can dump stuff close by but more further away, half of them will go further away
You can manipulate them tho, if that's the case.
Place a mine control tower.
Place different storage for what you are mining (dirt, rock, etc).
Select the tower, set to export to storage.
Connect each storage to a second storage. (you could just place two in a row, don't need belt)
Set to empty the second storage, and assign to it only a few truck (to avoid the issue of having too many truck at once). Set to "accept assigned truck only".
You might want to not allow partially loaded truck. It's in the vehicle management option (the icon that looks like a truck at the top left of your screen).
I do it this way with Dirt, Rock and Slag
All dumped separatly
Site one. I am tiring to cut across the sea to reach the other side. Map 3 is a C shape. i am tiring to form a O instead.
Site 2 is the sandy area at the centre of this C shape island. It quite far away.
Track assigned to this loser storage is suppose to dump at site one. But instead they go to site 2 to dump. I am at a lose.
That why i am wondering if it too deep, tracks dont dump?
As for dumping specific items, I build a tower at the dump site and tell the controller to dump ... let say ... trash. I remove Trash in the Trucks menu - the regular dump site as only the type of matherials in the list except Trash.
Thanks for your explanation.
What do you define in the dump area where the tower is?
Do you define that as dumping area? So no need for vehicles in that tower?
If that tower allow only waste, then only waste is dumped here.
The tower in question doesn't need to be actually built or have truck assigned. Any truck can dump anywhere unless the truck itself is assigned to a tower that itself have storage assigned with the material set to the same one you want to dump.
