I don't undertstand pipe throughput numbers. Anyone got this?
In the blue bar are 3 number like 82/120 (46%) what are they? I have one T2 pipe that shows 82/186 then after a connector to a paused T1 pipe it shows 32/70, and the pausesd pipe is 126/126.

If these are explained somewhere I can't seem to find it.

it's a great game.

I.e. A Tier 1 Pipe that's 10 segments long can physically hold 10 units of fluid and can handle a throughput of 60 units a minute. But if the pipe is connected to something that only provides 30 units of fluid a minute it will not fill the full capacity of the pipe before it passes on from the pipe to whatever it is connected to.

So the first number is the actual amount of fluid in the pipe at that time, the second number is the maximum fluid the pipe can hold and the percentage is the the percentage of the maximum flow that the pipe has been subject to over a recent period of time.

I think this is related: I recently found there is a maximum pipe length. Can I calculate this maximum distance from these numbers? Is there a maximum value, maybe a constant that would be applied to each pipe Tier to find the maximum distance for each pipe segment?

Long pipe and belt tend to break the game. I'd advise against doing it, at last cut it with a storage or something.
That's probably why there is a max lengh

I have never seen that happen. If this happened to you, did you report the bug?

Normally when placing a pipe or belt that is too long, the game will pop up a message telling you to place a balancer to extend the pipe or belt. Currently in the latest release one can place a belt that is too long as a ghost, but there will be an Error indicator and you will not be allowed to unpause it.

I believe your advice is correct by the way.
That was before last patch, I didn't fill a report since I wasn't even sure what I was doing wrong in the first place. I wasn't aware you get a message now.
I think I hovered over the icon in the middle of the pipe or clicked the pipe.
So yes it is probably new in the last release.
I think the developers are sneaking in new fixes.
