Makes sense about the generators not running.
That's where the flywheels come in, the more of them you got on the shaft, the more max inertia can be stored, the longer the turbines can run at full speed (fully efficient).
I'm not an expert at troubleshooting this, I'm still confused why all 4 generators would spin when you do 2 seperate systems (assuming the same power draw). Maybe a stupid question, but is there actually enough steam coming in on the big setup ? Also, have you set both of them to auto-balance?

Yeah, the designs were about 4 hours apart so power requirements were up when I split them.
