I spent 22 hours playing a game that crashed between 15-30 minutes and during the research I did I could see that this is not just me, but a lot of people. Lucky for you that the Gods of Olympus have blessed you with a hassle-free game, but that's not the case for me. I wouldn't waste my time creating this post just to hate a game that I clearly have nothing against, as you can tell from the 22 hours I spent TRYING to play it decently. It's a shame that a company like SONY releases a game that works well for some and works horribly for others. It's 2022 and releasing games with these problems is unacceptable to say the least!
If the game crashes telling you there's no enough memory, maybe you have to shut down some background softwares like Chrome browser. I receive this prompt sometimes too and after shutting some other softwares down I can play whole day without a crash
The message is:
"GoW: D3D Device Crash
The Graphics device Crashed. This is typically caused by out of date drivers or a an overheating GPU. Please try a clean install of your GPU drivers and remove any overclocks on your System.
Present Fail: Device Removed
Device Reason: Device Hung"

I made sure that I don't have any programs running other than the game and this message I got doesn't make sense because my GPU isn't overheating and my drivers are all up to date. This problem only occurs with God of War, no other game has this problem.
Try disableing XMP profile in your BIOS and let's see if the game still crashes
Windows Update would use an older version of driver for both AMD and Nvidia. Glad you can solve the problem this way but it's better to report this to Nvidia. After all, you don't wanna use an older version of driver forever for the sake of one game
Yes report to NVIDIA directly please.
