the game will not work on windows 8 and 7 for example

I got the same error message early this afternoon after paying the $54 with tax & downloading the ginourmous file. Then, to my utter dismay, disgust, & ultimate disappointment, GoW would not launch. I use to be in your shoes when Radeons back in the days did the same thing, they keep up with tech and phase ♥♥♥♥ out its nothing new, but I never used radeon ever again and also this happens to cards that are close to reaching the 5 year limit. Sucks but its how they work just like how lightbulbs dont last forever even though they can be designed to, who would buy em if they dont burn out

It sucks, but really not surprising considering the 940MX was a lower-mid-range laptop GPU from 2016.

probablemente sí, y había pagado hoy hace unos minutos, todo salió bien, comencé a descargar, luego hice clic en este juego God of War no enciende después de abrirlo, luego no se abrió, un escrito dice falta de D3D NIVEL DE CARACTERÍSTICA 11.1

¿Está su tarjeta en una computadora portátil? El error que ve es que no hay dxd11.1 instalado o su tarjeta no la usa porque es antigua. Algunas personas en Steam tienen el mismo problema.

You have the 950M. A mobile GPU. The minimum specs for this game is a 960, non-mobile version. You do not meet the minimum requirements for this game.

I understand that but most of the game i play on this computer have minimum requirements 970 or more, even though i can still play them without any problem

And those are those games. They're called minimum requirements for a reason. Even if you could play it, you wouldn't get good enough performance to even be worth it.

I have windows 10 and directx12. I am running a lot of games on my computer and i had never had this problem before.

If someone knows how to fix it.

Type -dx11 in launch option and then launch the game
