It works on Ubi launcher games
Guess what dude? Steam has already invested in controller support to provide easy implementation for developers. This isn't that hard. Steam detects my controller as DS4, both BT and wired.. and guess what dude? The solutions don't work for everyone because this is straight up ass controller support right off the bat. They don't even have controller options in game. There shouldn't be this many people wasting their time f*cking around trying to get Playstation button prompts to work.
I'm pretty sure DualSense Controller is a year old- but here's a quick correction:
PlayStation Controllers (starring in DualShock 4-onwards) indeed has a history of inconsistent support on PC, but more specifically: Windows PC.
Either it works perfectly on USB Mode, it's supported but you get the wrong prompts (sometimes the case for DS4 V2 Models), doesn't support it in certain newer games such as the recently released Monster Hunter RISE (at least they gave us PlayStation button prompts), bindings are borked (rarely the case, but that can happen on DS4 V1 or even rarer; DualSense as it was/used to be the case with Deltarune Chapter 1+2)
And despite what Santa Monica Studios said about "lack of Bluetooth drivers", certain games such as Quake Remastered and Firewatch works perfectly with Bluetooth mode and gives you the correct prompts.
Safe to say: God of War 2018 ultimately went with Sony's Gamepad API specific to PlayStation Controllers for this sort of stuff, but it clearly doesn't wanna support Bluetooth mode even if stuffs like SDL2 Gamepad API- or heck, Linux has proven that it can be done. (aside of DualSense's Haptic Feedback since the Computer sees it as a Playback Device)
oh, and you need to get access to PlayStation SDK in order to implement the full fat PlayStation Controller experience. If you're a gamdev and looking into adding it to your games, ya most likely going to pay a license for that. Geez, if only Microsoft bothered to expand their Gamepad API support beyond XInput earlier...
basically; Bluetooth Gamepad Mode is a afterthought, Microsoft did a boo-boo on expanding Gamepads beyond Xbox, Linux's Gamepad Support is superior....and Welcome to PC Gamepad Support, kids.
I shouldn't have to go from standing still to running at full speed with such a small tilt of the stick, and changing the camera speed in options only changes max speed, not the different stages it should take to get to max speed. it feels like the game is only using 50% of the range of my joysticks.
This is a dualsense plugged in via USB, steam tells me it's calibrated perfectly, and I'm using your default controller configuration.
Menu prompts are all on keyboard and mouse.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is this a known bug?
Ninja Gaiden Master Collection with bluetooth PS4 controller works fine.
just go to the games properties in steam and see if that helps
but i dont see PS buttoms
setups for controller PS are enabled, with FIFA i dont have problems
