Game won't accept custom keybindings

I set every changeable command to a new key, then when I try to save/return to the main menu it tells me there are missing inputs, only giving me the option to revert or make more changes, but the changes are correct and don't need changing.

Likely the cause here, is there are some hidden inputs that aren't on this screen, and when setting a custom keybinding that happens to use one of these hidden inputs, it deletes the default input that can't be seen on this screen, causing this issue.

After further testing, I narrowed this down to the "2", and "T" keys being used for something that can't be changed on this screen, the game doesn't give you the usual warning that it's a fixed key that is in use for something else and as such can't be used, like the message that displays when trying to use the "B" key for example. I will update this post if I find any further conflicts.

Unable to Bind custom Keys.

Every time i go in to change my keybinds it says something like " one or more keys are not bound" and then gives me the option to rebind or revert. Selecting any of these options just bumps me back into the Keybind selection menu and i cant exit it without the game reverting my custom keybinds to default.

I want to play this game with my keyboard and mouse because its far more accurate and snappy when hitting those headshots with my axe and it gives more freedom but without being able to customize my keybinds my plans are frustrated.

Trying to map the "Sheathe" key to another, and it wont let me leave the page after changing the bind as it says "one or more function is not mapped", yet I have everything else mapped. Bugged or am I missing something?

bump because this has to be a bug and its really annoying. I dont want to keep playing until i can use my custom keys

Just don't use the "T" or "2" keys, revert all changes and remap your keys from the start, those keys are being used by something in the game that isn't shown in the control settings.

He is right. Dont use "T" or "2" keys. There is also another problem with changing lock-on target which is a bigger issue in my opinion.

the way they did keybinds in this game is so..just no...ima end up refunding this game XD over a stupid reason, but they could do 10 times better

Key binding cannot be changed for all

Hi,

I want to play ESDF instead of WASD, but if I change the keys, I cannot save them. Get always the message that not all keys would be bound. However, that is incorrect. All keys were bound, so I have to press ESC and my keybinding is deleted.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

I'm left-handed - mouse in left, fingers on the right side of the keyboard.

Lifting my hand up from my rebound movement keys, and moving all the way over, to try and find 'T' before the timer runs out, then lifting and moving all the way back, gets tiresome really quickly. A binding option for the Codex thing would be great.

Also, since i'm talking about key bindings,
'Enter' and 'Num Enter' appear to be recognised, or at least displayed as the same key,
and 'Application' - between 'Win' and 'Ctrl' on the right of the keyboard seems to be missing.

Lefties have little enough useable keys, without devs stealing more of them.

Cannot save key bindings

I always change the key binding in games, so I tried to do in GOW. But I fail since the game keeps saying that some keys are not assigned, yet, which is not true since the whole list of actions have assigned keys. The only way to get out of the binding window is to accept that the changes will be reset after leaving.

That's annoying since I do not want to play the game with preset keys I never use (e.g. WASD). Any idea what is still missing?
Keys are changed within the first column and partially in the second if required (e.g. the three for greyed out key-mouse-combination).

I'm not trying to be a wise guy. I have changed most of the keys and did not have any issue. I was surprised that there was no APPLY button so you just make the change and exit and it all took for me.

I even moved most of the changes into the main column and moved the default keys to the secondary column without issue.

Have you tried file verification. It might take a little time but it could help if you have something that went wrong. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. That's an idea. I will move all predefined keys into the second column while I add my own into the first. Maybe that might do the trick, although it would be strange.

So 2 seems to be tied to nothing yet game wont let me bind 2 to anything. Very frustrating
