No speech / dialogue sounds?

Hey guys I just got this game and it seems I have an audio bug.
All game sounds work except all dialogue for some reason, I can only read subtitles.
So here's the thing, the game won't let me run in stereo (headphone) mode because "no stereo device detected". What?
I took a quick look online but found nothing useful, since:
1. My windows audio enhancements are already disabled
2. I'm using logitech speakers plugged into the P2 out
3. In-game volumes are all 100%
4. Already restarted the game a couple of times
5. I don't even have any kind of 5.1 audio system installed

Does someone know how to force stereo sound in this game?

Turns out it is indeed a weird bug. Fixed by setting my audio output sample rate to 96Khz (from 48 KHz). Now stereo mode is available in the settings but the audio is already working as intended. I can now hear the footsteps, sheathing sounds, dialogue.
