New Game + Niflheim problem

While I am loving Traveler set fully upgraded, I wanted to try Niflheim again when I saw there were upgraded Ivadi pieces. BUT, I cannot craft any of the new Ivadi’s armor because I don’t have the rusted armor to unlock the center section in spite of having loads of mists the favor(s) of Ivadi’s workshop. I’ve to all but the final sections a couple of times and no rusted armor. Surely there is something I’m missing.

The rusted armor is located in the center area with all the chests.
Open all the free to open chests and you will get the rusted set.

The center section can be unlock with the entry stone, NOT with some armor.

Go to Sindri and buy that stone, and in that central area you will find the rusted armor, if.. and I repeat IF you can't already craft that armor.
From Ivaldi's Workshop you can gain some good stuff with NG+ stats as well if you beat the Valkyrie

I thought I'd tried everything including buying menu, but I must have missed it this time through. Don't remember having trouble first time thru. Thx
