At least VPN works, but steam answered me

don't. you'll put your Steam account on risk of getting banned, not worth it.
I would agree. People will tell you that Sony hasn't cared about this either...but they also said they would only have PSN requirement for multiplayer games only, yet...here we are.
It doesn't, but the way Sony has been acting about it being a requirement lately...i wouldn't hold it past them to retroactively add it to the older ports that originally didn't.
