Glitchy/hyper fast controls with a PS4 controller

Am not sure how to explain this but the controls feel like they're too fast or almost like the inputs are doubled for everything I do.
Like Kratoos would do the axe animation and cancel it over and over pretty fast.

This doesn't happen to other games and I have tried using emulation and no emulation for my PS4 controller. Hopefully there's a fix, otherwise I will be forced to use KB/M to play >_<

Are you using it wirelessly or wired? In my case its on wireless with the program DS4 and so far no other game has produced this issue.

im using a wireless ds4 with no issues. if youre using ds4windows, you shouldnt need to. steam's ds4 support works perfectly with gow. thats probably whats causing it.

Having the same issue. I'm playing on GOG and using a duelsense with DSX. Any solution found?

Don't use DS4 or any emulation apps, just let steam input do the trick.
Since you're on GOG you could either add the game as non steam game and see if it works or disable emulation in the DSX apps if its like DS4 where you can adjust that.

In my case this fixed it and now on a PS5 controller, game works perfectly.

Hey, I had this same issue with my Dualsense controller. Turns out it's caused by high fps; anyone having this issue should try limiting it.
