Makes steam deck crash?

Is common that this game makes steam deck crash a lot? I’m just wondering if it’s my deck itself but any other game I’ve played doesent crash but with god of war after playing for a hour or hour and 30 it crashes or freezes the whole steam deck.

im using whatever is on default im glad im not the only one i thought it was my deck

There is a memory leak in the game that makes it crash after 30 to 40 min. I used this websites settings and have not had a problem since. I did not have to install any apps or utilities. Give it try before installing all these apps when the steam deck has some of the tools you need already. Look at the right hand chart that shows what settings you should apply to this game. 93 hours in and no crashes or windows complaining that it is out of system memory. So yea there is no memory leaks just people with old hardware trying to run it.

This didn't work for me. I literally set everything to a Tee. My deck still blacked out and restarted about 40mins after. I'm posting as the reset is happening.🤷🏾‍♂️

I got mine working with no crashing by changing proton to 8.0

This is not only ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but completely ignorant too. I get "Out Of Memory" on Ultra settings on a £6000 PC with an RTX 4090 graphics card.
