God of War constantly crashing on alt-tab out

Anyone else experience this? I've tried verifying, reboot, reinstall. Nothing. Don't have any other game that behaves this way, including other sony games (Horizon Dawn, Days Gone, Spiderman)

How much RAM do you have and how much are background processes eating that up before you're playing a game?

I alt tab all the time because of my friends on discord. Never had a problem

This is a possibility I suppose. It's not happening to my kid who has a similar system, but I'm not sure he has DLSS turned on.

To the other guy, 16 GB ram, and very little - 25-30% I suppose.

Do you use DLSS? I run basically all ultra settings, 3080.

same problem and i have 128 gb ram so it cant be it
not always, but if i tab a lot it will crash, and i tab a lot

I alt+tab all the time with FSR enabled and never crashed once.

Disabling FSR also worked for me.

Stop disabling FSR. Disable Minimize in background. Use your brains.
