Game still has a memory leak
The longer you play the higher the RAM usage. Something is being loaded and not being removed. I have noticed huge frame drops when playing for more than 2 hours and found out it's my pc running out of RAM... A restart fixes it but it's a shame the game still has an issue this big so long after launch.

Update: Restart is not actually needed all you need to do is go to settings and change textures to a lower setting and back to what you were using before. It instantly restores performance. You don't even need to go back to the game when changing the setting as it changes instantly as you change the setting.

Yes. I have to shut down Google Chrome to run the game. As long as I have Chrome one even tho I may only have one tab I can have out of memory crash. I have 16GB of memory and I didn't have out of memory crash at launch so it did come with later version of the game

I found out that when you get the fps drop you can quickly fix it without restarting the game. You just have to go to option and change textures to a lower setting then back to what ever you were using and it fixes the problem straight away. I'm going to upgrade my RAM to 32 GB as well in the near future and if it fixes this problem for good I'll post it here.

Out of interest, which video card are you using?

You ram is a bit on the low side. But you still shouldn't have to put up with leak issues.

Don't confuse RAM with VRAM tho. Yes 3060's 6GB VRAM is on the lower side these days

I'm not, as he mentioned he has 32 GB of system ram.

And 32 GB of system ram is a good amount.

Settings menu states it's only using about 4800 VRAM

You said 'You ram is a bit on the low side' but now you are saying '32 GB of system ram is a good amount'

Runs flawlessly on my PS5, as does Ragnarok.

Hmm, I had it open for like 5 hours in a row today without any problem. Probably a problem specific to drivers and/or video card.

I meant VRAM and was replying to how much ram he had on his video card. :algebraic:
