A bug in Alheim on reaching light column

my god of war functioned well until I got to the light column in Alfheim and now no matter what I do when Kratos plunges into the light with the artifact and I need to press the E on my PC it is stuck there and he never gets to break the light column. I have pressed that E in a myriad different ways and all he does is stop and Atreus asks him 'did it work?' Kratos says no and I keep on trying pressing E in every way one could, to no avail. I guess this is the end of my being able to play. Its a wonderful game and I hate that this has to be the end of playing for me.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of local game files? This is done within Steam.

That do you mean? I have the same problem with light column...

you need to change the setting to Hold instead of pressing
